Log & Timberframe Home Package Contents

Our log and timberframe home packages come ready to either assemble on your foundation and subfloor or are available with an optional subfloor package. When comparing packages, we suggest that you note that all kits are not created equal. For instance, Sloan's Mill log kits come complete with heavy timber exposed roofing and roof insulation vs. others who may only include 2x4 roof trusses and no insulation. Read on to learn what we include in our quality packages as standard.

Basic Engineered Log Home Package
Engineered No-Shrink Logs Precut and numbered with dovetail butt joinery in your choice of log styles and profiles. Choose from 6x12 German Chink, 6x8 D (rounded outside, flat inside) or 8x8 D. Plus, select your choice of corner joinery in either dovetail or heavy timber. Basic Timberframe Home Package
Solid 8x8 Eastern White Pine Posts High quality Structural Insulated Panels (SIPS) for exterior walls with drywall on the inside and OSB on the outside that is ready for your choice of siding. R-15 standard or upgrade to R-30.*
Heavy Timber Engineered Roof Framing
Solid heavy timber rafters, engineered and precut with dovetail ends (that simply drop into the ridge beam) and precision birdsmouth joinery. Rafters extend 16" past logs for overhang. Roof Covering
